Psychosexual Counselling
Sexual problems can have a devastating effect on even the strongest of relationships. It's often difficult to face up to such personal issues and to seek help. Our specially trained counsellors are experienced in helping people to deal with a range of sexual problems including, impotence, premature ejaculation and loss of sexual desire.
Many people find it difficult or embarrasing to share their sexual concerns. Our sex therapists know this and will quickly put you at ease. They will help you to explore the reasons behind the problem and to look at ways of addressing it.
They will give you simple exercises to be carried out in the privacy of your own home.
Our psychosexual therapy service is highly sucessful, with 93% of both men and women who completed treatment in our most resent research (1998-99) reporting a significant improvement in their sexual relationship.

Will we have to do any sexual tasks infront of the counsellor?
No, your therapist will give you specific exercises to try in the privacy of your own home. You can take them at your own pace and you will never be forced to do something that you do not feel comfortable with.
I don't want my friends or family to find out, is it confidential?
Yes, Relate counselling is completely confidential. We will not give your name or any information about you to anyone outside relate unless someone's personal safety is at risk.
I am single at the moment but I know I have a sexual problem, can you still help me?
Yes, we work with many individuals who are experiencing sexual difficulties. We can help you work on your problem so you can enter into future relationships with confidence.
