What is Collaborative Law?
Collaborative law is a new, even-handed approach to relationship breakdown, involving where necessary finances and children, based on confidential face-to-face negotiation with your partner with the full support of your lawyers alongside you. The aim is to deliver an amicable out-of-court settlement that achieves the best possible outcome for the family and avoids the uncertainty and ill feeling of an imposed solution.
Collaborative Law lawyers may involve other professionals, such as Relate, to help deal with some of the emotions that could make a collaborative approach to your ex-partner difficult, to think about the care and supervision of your children, and to decide what is really important to you in the process of divorce and what can be left aside.
Relate works in partnership with Fisher Jones Greenwood solicitors and Leonard Gray Solicitors providing family consultation when it is required. |
